The Blue Snowflake is the portable version of the popular Blue Snowball Professional USB Microphone. The Snowflake has a USB-powered condenser capsule and is designed either to clip on the top of the screen of an open laptop or, unfolded, sit on any desk--as it now does in my studio.
A class compliant design makes the Snowflake 'plug and play' on both Macs and PCs and the mic folds into a single compact case that also houses the USB cable. I like the small size for traveling--it will slip into the laptop's protective case without worry. I use it for Skype and iChat communication and to record interviews directly into my computer.
