Part of the new Fender Electracoustic Series, the Telecoustic Deluxe has the Tele body shape but it is really a full-bodied acoustic guitar. Available in Candy Apple Red or Sunburst, these guitars are for players trying a different look and vibe. It turns out that the slimmer body profile and smaller neck are perfect for female players. Redesign by Dan Smith and the Fender California/Nashville R&D team, this acoustics are made for electric guitarists as they use Stratocaster® and Telecaster® necks and are made in South Korea.
The top is made from spruce while the back and sides are both solid and laminated mahogany. The maple neck has a rosewood fretboard, 21 frets and a 25.5-inch scale length.
To be heard in a loud band, the electronics are Fishman® Classic IV MB (with tuner and blend controls) and a Fender Mexico Telecaster pickup placed in the neck position. Controls are: volume, bass, mid, treble, blend, and tuner on/off. The Telecoustic Deluxe goes with vintage Fender style machine heads, a gloss finish and $857 MSRP.
