One of the latest updates to DPA's d:screet™ Miniature Microphone line, is the d:screet Necklace Microphone. This is a very small omnidirectional microphone designed for wearing around a presenter's neck. The d:screet Necklace Mic is nearly invisible when worn at the neckline. Typically body-worn microphones can be a liability when doing costume changes or just putting a coat on/off. Usually one of the audio crew must reset and check a body-worn mic with every clothing change and that could be several times a day during a long video/film shoot.
The mic can be mounted and removed quickly at any time by untrained persons--no audio sound person required. DPA's d:screet 4061 omni capsule is encased in a soft rubber necklace and is available in black, white and brown and in lengths of either 18.3 or 20.9-inches.
Also available are the heavy-duty 4060 and 4061 microphones ideal for placement in rigorous production situations, such as incorporated into a combat suit for a fight scene or totally covert under a horse saddle. It features stainless steel housing, sturdy cable relief and a thicker .08-inch cable.
