Gear Lust Web Site | Go To The Music Connection "New Toys" Directory |
Philadelphian guitar-maker Bill Comins now has the traditionally styled Chester Avenue archtop guitar. Available in Standard and Deluxe versions, both models feature solid, hand-carved Sitka spruce or Englemann spruce tops and solid hand-carved, figured domestic maple back and sides. The 16 or 17-inch lower bout has parallel or x-bracing and Venetian cutaway. The violin styled floating ebony tailpiece matches the ebony pickguard and ebony bridge. Other good things are; multi-purling; 25-inch scale with a 22-fret ebony fretboard; gold-plated hardware; floating pickup with volume control; a choice of violin sunburst or honey blonde finishes and hard shell case.
Some options include: fancy split block pearl fingerboard inlay, 18-inch lower bout, left-handed model, oval sound hole, seventh string, and ebony tuning knobs. Both guitars are sold direct from: Bill Comins at 215-784-0314 or P.O. Box 611, Willow Grove, PA 19090
